Dewey Drinks next week (Oct. 11) at Venice Cafe October 2, 2007

The next Dewey Decimal Drinks will be next week on Thursday, October 11 at 7pm.

We’ll meet at the Venice Café, 1903 Pestalozzi St in Benton Park. The Venice is pretty much just across Highway 55 from the big Anheuser Busch brewery. It’s a neat place—virtually every surface, inside and on the patio, is covered with a mixture of art and colorful found objects.

Since it’s Halloween season, this month we encourage you to wear your best stereotypical librarian outfit. It’s not mandatory, but we will have a few prizes for the best ensembles. And if you’re saying to yourself, “Gee, my best stereotypical librarian outfit is the clothes I wear to work every day,” well… For starters, we love you, and for seconds, we just might give a prize to the best dressed librarian in their regular work clothes.

We’ll nudge you again when the date draws nearer. If you’d like to see the October flyer (starring future supermodel Exine), check out our pics on the Dewey Decimal Drinks Facebook group or on MySpace at http://www.myspace.com/deweydecimaldrinks.

Yours bookishly,
Claire Nowak-Boyd
