Library Clerk
Part-time temporary, 20 hours/week, M-F 10:00 am – 2:00 pm through September, 2007 (Renewable subject to funding.) Entry level position. Primary duties: Mail pickup, opening, sorting, metering and delivery; boxing/shipping books, copying, faxing, filing; maintaining supplies and equipment, preparation of binding shipments. Qualifications: H.S. diploma, some college preferred; some library or other relevant clerical experience preferred. Also need computer skills, accuracy and attention to detail, ability to reach, stoop, and lift 30-40 pound boxes. Applications due by September 29, 2006. Emerson Library – Webster University
Reference Librarian (Part-time Replacement Position)

Webster University is seeking a part-time Reference Librarian to work in Emerson Library. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive reference and research services working at the reference desk, answering telephone inquiries and reference questions, and providing individual instruction in the use of print and electronic resources. Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Library Science, library experience, computer experience, expertise with electronic databases, knowledge of OCLC, Internet, and other electronic information resources, strong analytical abilities, and the ability to work occasional day hours, but primarily late weekend nights until 11 p.m. and on Sunday nights until 11 p.m.. The reference desk is staffed about eighty hours a week. The late night and weekend hours are shared among the part-time staff.

I am doing my practicum right now at Webster. The people there are great, and the new facility is really nice! I encourage people to apply, especially if you are nearing (or past) graduation.
