…is a sometimes regular, always diverting column by California public librarian Scott Douglas. You can find it here on McSweeneys.net (the .net version of Dave Eggers’ McSweeney’s quarterly concern). The quirky sense this guy makes of library life transcends public librarianism -it’s just a good read. Of particular hilarity are regular subtopics “Bookdrop,” “Patron of the week,” and “Lost and found.” Check out his latest bit on Wikipedia (dated Oct. 23, 2006), then have a look at his very own Wiki entry, “currently protected from editing until disputes have been resolved” here.
