Job Title: Library Consultant, Youth Services
Organization: Missouri State Library
Location: Jefferson City, Missouri

Description: Work with statewide agencies and
organizations to promote library services for youth, and build strong
partnerships at the state level. Develop and promote the State
Library’s youth services efforts through programs. Coordinate, develop,
and continually improve the annual statewide summer reading programs
for youth and teens. Plan, organize, and present workshops and training
sessions to improve youth services in libraries. Provide consultant
services to libraries, specializing in development of youth programs.

Application Information:Masters Degree in Library
Science from an American Library Association accredited program. As an
alternative, a school library certification and Masters Degree in an
appropriate education speciality will be considered. A minimum of three
years experience in a responsible professional position, as a
department or program director, or equivalent experience. Experience in
youth library programs is preferred. Travel required as needed for
onsite consulting and project requirements. An equal opportunity
