Monsanto Library Services is a team-based group of information and library professionals focused on the building of knowledge assets to meet the research and business needs of Monsanto employees.

This position is approximately 25% administrative assistant duties and 75% clerical duties.

We are currently seeking a Library / Administrative Assistant to:
* Perform variety of administrative activities, including travel, meeting room reservations, work orders, expense reports, calendar oversight, ordering office supplies.
*Serve as central archivist for field and nursery research notebooks archives; generate labels for books upon request; process finished books for archiving; maintain tracking information.
*Schedule classes, update mailing lists, and monitor the Technology-wide compliance with research records training programs.
*Manage archival activities for microfilming technical reports.
* Process monthly usage statistics and reports for invoice payments for library resources; maintain central library invoice file.
* Order and process new books and journals; record library transactions into internal databases; rotate coverage at the library reference desk in Creve Coeur.

Required Skills:

Successful candidate will possess strong organizational, evaluative, customer service and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team-based environment; Self-starter who is willing to take initiative, flexible, can juggle several projects at once and comfortable with changes in work assignments; ability to actively network and partner with Monsanto employees; excellent oral and written communication skills. Accuracy and attention to detail while working under strict time restraints are also required. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint is highly desirable. Familiarity with records management is a plus.
