Join us for “St. Louis Saturdays,” a journal/trends discussion group meeting the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month at 10:00am at the Blackberry Café in Clayton.

Note new location!

Come on out and join us for great atmosphere, food, coffee drinks, and discussion! The schedule of topics is below. Stay tuned for more details, as well as information about other upcoming St. Louis events this semester (including the continuation of First Fridays)!

St. Louis Saturdays

What? A journal/trends discussion group
Who? LIS Students, faculty, alumni, and anyone who’s interested!
When? 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month at 10:00am
Where? Blackberry Cafe at 6611 Clayton Rd. (http://www.cafeblackberry.com) – directly across from Schnucks; parking is available out front on the street

Schedule of topics for Winter 2007:

Jan. 27 – “People policies” (children, homeless, difficult, and other “people” issues in all types of libraries)
Feb. 10 – Children’s services
Feb. 24 – Future of cataloging
March 10 – Open WorldCat: Finding local library resources on the Web
March 24 – Open source software and alternative integrated library systems
April 14 – Library architecture and renovation
April 28 – Image of librarians in popular culture
