Illinois state senator Matt Murphy has filed a bill that creates the Social Networking Web site Prohibition Act. This bill requires that all public libraries in Illinois block access to all social networking websites on any computer accessed by the public. Similar Federal legislation fizzled out last May. What would a bill like that mean for our libraries?
