Library Media Center Director

St. Louis University High School seeks a librarian to serve as director of the school library/media center.  The position requires the ability to do the following:

To facilitate development of student research skills involved in our library print and electronic services through orientations and class sessions. 

To collaborate with SLUH teachers in integrating the library collection with their course design.

To oversee and supervise the entire operation of the library, including, but not limited to budget development and supervision, manage the activities of staff and volunteers and represent the library on the Instructional Council.

To show a willingness to participate in school events and activities.

St. Louis University High School is a Catholic, all-boy, college prep school operated by the Jesuits.  Grades 9-12 have an enrollment of 1,079.

The library has:

  • A staff of 3.
  • 26,500 titles
  • Over 6,000 sq. ft.
  • 23 computers and 25 laptops

A MLA or a Masters in ISLT.
St. Louis University High School has expressed a great interest in having a graduate from SISLT take over this position.
