Party with Anne! February 28, 2007

Posted by Stephanie McReynolds in Library Stuff.

As most of you already know, Anne Watts will be retiring from St. Louis Public Library in order to serve as the Assistant Director of the Boynton Beach City Library in Florida. Read about Anne and her future plans in this Southwest City Journal article.

So, this First Friday will be a very special one. We will celebrate with Anne Watts at Schlafly Bottleworks in Maplewood (7260 Southwest Ave.)on March 2nd from 6 pm to (at least) 8 pm.

Joanne Vogel is compiling a “memory book” in honor of Anne. If you would like to contribute to the book, feel free to bring something with you on Friday and add it to the scrapbook.

We hope you will join us this Friday! Everyone is welcome. Even if you have never met Anne Watts, go ahead and join us, anyway. Anne would love to see new faces in addition to the familiar ones. So, drop in for a drink or stay for appetizers or dinner (it’s up to you).

If you have seen this notice on the various library listserves, please do RSVP to Joanne Vogel. Since I am not sure whether Joanne would be comfortable with making her email address available to everyone on the WWW, please email me (Stephanie Hood) at sjhy83@mizzou.edu and I will forward your RSVP to Joanne. As always, if you find that you can join us at the last minute, please do!

Thanks to Joanne for arranging this gathering!
